Frequently Asked Questions

Booking a boat is easy with OCK Boats! You can either book online through our website or give us a call to speak with one of our rental specialists. We recommend booking in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak season (May thru August). When booking, we will ask for basic information such as your name, contact information, rental date and time, and the type of boat you would like to rent. We will also require a valid credit card to secure your reservation.

Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you a confirmation email with all the details you need to know before your rentals, such as location, parking, and safety instructions.

Common Questions

Is fuel Included and how much does it cost?

Fuel varies on the boat you charter. We like to keep it simple with a flat rate per hour. Starting at $15 per hr up to $35 per hr.

Can I bring food and drinks?

We welcome food and drinks on board with a few exceptions. (No Red Wine, Cranberry Juice, Chips that stain ex, Cheetos and Doritos). So please bring foods and drinks that won’t stain. Thanks!

Can I bring my Dog?

We love dogs however dogs allowed on board will have to be recently groomed and nails trimmed. Dogs will be approved case by case.

Do I have to wear a Life Jacket?

DC Police/ Coast Guard require any children under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket at all times. All boats will have sufficient life jackets on board.

About Renting Process

What is your Cancellation Policy? What if it rains on the day of our reservation?

We are very flexible with our cancellation policy. You are allowed to Cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation begins. If it rains on the day of your reservation, then full refund will be given or we can reschedule for another day. We are always checking the weather daily and hourly and want to make sure you have decent weather and enjoyable time on the water.

Can I play music on the boat?

All boats have speakers and connectivity via Bluetooth so you can enjoy your music while on the water.

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

As always please use the bathroom before boarding any boat. Some of the boats have bathrooms and some do not. Please look under the boat’s features on which boat you are renting to see if it has a bathroom on board.

Where can we go on the water?

We usually take our guest to certain areas depending on the time for your reservation. Our typical route is Old Town Alexandria, the Wharf and Georgetown waterfront. However, everything is customizable to your liking. If you have a particular location, you want to see then we can always accommodate.
